“Be driven by data if you want to compete,” delegates told

A packed room of senior business representatives gained expert insights about what’s new in the world of analytics.

The 2018 MHR Analytics summit brought together CFOs and data management specialists from across the UK.

In an inspirational talk that gave a glimpse of a data-led and AI-centred world, Bernard Marr, best-selling author and business, technology and data expert, told businesses that they must “be driven by data to compete in this new industrial revolution.”

Marr gave real-life examples of how AI is already operating efficiently in business life, through passenger drone services and pizza delivery robots.

A compelling presentation by Laura Timms, Business Analytics Product Marketing Manager, demonstrated that “analytics pays back £13.01 for every £1 spent.”

During Timms’ presentation, a live delegate poll showed that the vast majority of businesses have begun their data maturity journey, but remain in the early stages. Most businesses attending the event had some way to go to take full advantage of the power of data analytics.

Dr Max Blumberg, a leading expert in people analytics delivered a presentation and VIP workshop, with advice on how sales force transformation can be harnessed to achieve business goals.

The event was held to share the latest knowledge and intelligence about the future of business analytics in a world that is increasingly data-dependent.
